Every ladder leaves your warehouse with a clear paper trail. Over time, however, certificates are misplaced, crew members change and contact details become outdated. When the vessel later needs a declaration of conformity or information before an inspection, it may contact the manufacturer simply because our name appears on the product plate.
Registration prevents that relationship from being lost.
It gives the vessel quick access to its equipment records and documents. It gives us an accurate connection between a serial number and the vessel using the equipment. Most importantly, it creates a permanent record showing that the ladder was supplied by your company.
Our commitment to partners
We protect the commercial relationship between you and your customer.
- Your company remains recorded as the supplier of the equipment.
- Commercial enquiries concerning equipment supplied through you are referred back to your company.
- We do not provide your customer with direct commercial quotations for equipment supplied through your relationship.
- Your purchase prices, discounts and commercial terms remain confidential.
We may contact a vessel directly when necessary for equipment documentation, product corrections, regulatory obligations or safety-related communication. Where appropriate and legally permitted, the recorded supplier will be kept informed.
What your customer sees
Your registration link does not lead to an anonymous manufacturer page. Next to the registration form, the customer sees a partner card containing:
- your company logo;
- your address and website;
- the name of your contact person;
- confirmation that the equipment was supplied by your company.
The information is loaded directly from your partner record in our CRM. If your logo, address or contact person changes, send us the updated details. The partner card will then be updated automatically, including on links that have already been shared.
Your registration link
The registration page is available at drewilentership.com/register/. Two optional parameters can personalise the link.
Supplier parameter
?sup=your-slug
This identifies your company, displays your partner card and records your company as the supplier.
Contact us to receive your unique supplier slug. It is short, permanent and safe to include in customer communications.
Serial-number parameter
&sn=0439%2F26
This completes the ladder’s serial number automatically, so the vessel does not need to enter it manually.
A complete personalised link looks like this:
drewilentership.com/register/?sup=your-slug&sn=0439%2F26
Each serial-number link is specific to one piece of equipment. Before sending it, confirm that the serial number matches the ladder delivered to the vessel. If you do not want to include the serial number, omit the sn parameter and let the customer enter it on the registration page.
When to use the registration link
At delivery
Send the link together with the delivery documents.
This is the best moment to register the equipment because the serial number, vessel details and responsible contact person are readily available. Registration takes only a few minutes and creates a reliable record for future document requests.
When a customer has lost a document
Instead of exchanging several e-mails and waiting for documents to be located manually, send the customer a personalised registration link.
Once the equipment details have been confirmed, the relevant documents can be delivered by e-mail. Your company remains clearly identified as the supplier throughout the process.
Before an inspection or vetting
Encourage customers to register their equipment before a Port State Control inspection, audit or vetting.
Registered equipment makes it easier for the vessel to locate the correct certificate and confirm the equipment details. When the product plate includes a digital access point, the relevant record can also be opened directly from the equipment.
It is a small convenience that can make a meaningful difference during inspection preparation — and it reflects positively on your service.
Checking equipment without registration
The certificate-checking page is available at drewilentership.com/check/. It allows a user to confirm:
- whether the ladder is a genuine Drewil EnterShip product;
- the product and equipment category;
- the date of manufacture;
- the scope of the associated certificate.
The check requires both the ladder’s serial number and the vessel’s IMO number. It does not display the registered vessel, customer identity, supplier information or contact details.
Requiring both values helps limit accidental and unauthorised searches. Additional technical safeguards are used to reduce automated or large-scale querying.
Frequently asked questions
Does registration change our commercial terms?
No. Registration is an equipment record, not a commercial agreement. Your discounts, price group, payment terms and other commercial arrangements remain unchanged. They are not displayed to the vessel or included in its registration record.
Will you contact our customer directly?
Only when necessary in connection with the equipment — for example, to provide documentation, correct a record, meet a regulatory obligation or communicate important safety information.
Commercial enquiries relating to equipment supplied through your company are referred to you. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will also keep you informed about direct equipment-related communication with the vessel.
Can we register the equipment for the vessel?
Yes. At the top of the registration form, select The supplier and complete the form on the customer’s behalf. The resulting equipment record is the same as one created directly by the vessel.
Before submitting personal information on someone else’s behalf, make sure you are authorised to provide it.
What if we do not know the vessel’s IMO number?
Send the registration link to the vessel and let its representative complete the missing information.
The IMO number includes a check digit, allowing the form to detect many common typing errors. It is also more reliable for identification than the vessel’s name, which may change or be entered in different forms.
We supply equipment from several manufacturers. Is registration exclusive?
No. Registration records only who supplied the specific Drewil EnterShip product. It does not restrict what other products or brands your company may offer, and we do not request that information.
What happens if our logo or contact person changes?
Send us the new information and we will update your partner record. Because the partner card is loaded directly from our CRM, the revised details will also appear through links that you have already distributed.
How is registration data used?
Registration data is used to maintain equipment records, provide documentation, verify product details, support regulatory compliance and communicate essential product or safety information.
It is not used to disclose your commercial terms or send unrelated marketing without an appropriate legal basis. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.
Make registration part of every delivery
Include your personalised registration link with the delivery note, certificate package or customer handover e-mail.
It takes only a few minutes for the vessel — and keeps the equipment, its documents and your company connected throughout the product’s service life.
